01 / How to run it

Four steps.
No guesswork.

You don’t need to know PowerShell to use this. If you can copy and paste, you’re qualified. Here’s the whole process, from the Start menu to the lobby.

  1. Open Windows PowerShell

    Press Win, type PowerShell, and open Windows PowerShell. On Windows 10, you can also press Win + R, type powershell, and hit Enter.

    Start → search “PowerShell”

  2. Copy the line

    Use the Copy line button in the black box above. No editing needed — the command is exactly what you see. It starts with irm and ends with iex.

  3. Paste and press Enter

    Click inside PowerShell and press Ctrl + V, then Enter. Let the fix run in the window. Wait for the repair to finish before you close anything.

  4. Reopen Retrac

    Fully close the Retrac launcher, open it again, and queue up. You don’t need to restart your PC. That’s it — GG.

What does the command actually do?

irm downloads the Retrac fix script from the address in the command, and iex runs that script inside your PowerShell window. It’s one command, not an app. You can open https://retrac.info/fix in your browser to read it before you run it.

Is this an installer?

No. It doesn’t add a program to your Start menu or a new launcher to your desktop. It runs the repair in the terminal, prints what it’s doing, and exits when it’s done.

Do I need administrator rights?

Open a normal Windows PowerShell window first. If Windows asks for elevated permission, only approve it if you trust the script you’re about to run. The command above is the only one this page asks you to use.

Which PCs does the fix work on?

Windows 10 and Windows 11. PowerShell is already built into both, so there’s nothing extra to download. Retrac’s launcher needs to be installed, and you’ll need an internet connection to fetch the script.

What if it still doesn’t work?

Run the line once more and note the last message in the PowerShell window. If Retrac still won’t launch, email [email protected] with that message and a screenshot of the error. We’ll take it from there.

How do I know this is the official command?

The address should always be exactly retrac.info/fix. If someone sends you a different command or asks you to disable your security software, don’t run it — come back to this page instead.
